History of the Citroën HY
The Citroën HY (also called the “H Van” or type H) is a delivery van that was manufactured between 1947 and 1982.
The HY is distinctive for its pig’s snout front and bodywork that looks like corrugated iron. It was a highly successful vehicle, because during its production period, over 475,000 were turned out.
Many different versions were produced, both in terms of fuel (petrol and diesel) and externally (suicide-doors, split-window, etc.)
In recent years, the HY has made a comeback, usually in the form of a Foodtruck (a van that sells/prepares/carries food and drink)
